Here is our collection of beach-based wry wit and wisdom in easy to read text.
What the Ocean Teaches Us Go gently into the world. Be curious. Dive under the big waves. Wonder at all of nature. Bask in the sunshine. Be kind to living things. Seek horizons. Be a dreamer. Remember that what you do matters, and that everything connects. May you swim hard when you have to. Learn to float when ease is possible; expect a little crabbiness along the way. Truest, even when it storms, because there’s something better ahead. Stop to let the duck family cross the road. Watch sunsets. Follow love where it takes you. Most of all, be abundantly happy and live thankfully.
Friend Thank you Thank you for being there , lending a hnad, making me laugh, understanding, not judging, listening, believing in me, accepting me for myself, seeing me through the good times and the bad, being “thick as thieves” being like family being tried and true…. Thank you for being you.
Mom Thank You For warm cookies and big hugs, for clean sheets and a ride home. For saying “You can do it!”, for reading the story to me a hundred times, for putting my art on the refrigerator, for being patient, for feeding my friends, for being my buddy, my teacher, my biggest fan, for nudging me along, for loving me for who I am. Thank you Mom, for being you.
What A New Baby Needs To be welcomed with open arms, to be raised in a family of kindness, to have the stars twinkle, twinkle in the sky. To be snuggled and buggled, to be butterfly – kissed, to be encouraged to wonder. To open wide for the airplane, to be rock q bye babied, to be read Winnie The Pooh, to be tickled on the belly, to have the mobile go round and round, to be taken on adventures in the stroller, to have this little piggy go to market. To grow SO big. To be loved to the moon and back.
Celebrate life Opening up, polka dotted, happy chair to rest on, rainbow weather, red handled shovel, bouquet gathered by a child, heart tree, hope, floral fabric, a bed of roses, rosemary topiary, yellow mud boots, pink dawn, a house for the birds, three blue eggs, new mown grass, old bike with basket, joy, swing in a tree
Three Flowers Stand up straight, be you, be strong, live by your heart, eat your veggies, say please and thank you, smile, never give up, believe in yourself, be gentle with living things, give back, respect your elders, help do the dishes, use all of the colors in the crayon box, hold hands crossing the street, be hopeful, go exploring, play fair if you want to keep your friends, love joyfully, go out in the sunshine, be thankful
Let me go to the sea again Let me go to the sea again, where I can kick off my shoes and set myself free. Let me go where I belong, where the air is salt and the ocean calls
New Beach Day Be radiant, be magical, lounge around, open up, be free, kick off your shoes, dude, go for it. Find your place in the sun, nap, fall in love with the sea, be peaceful, be thankful, be happy, hold it and treasure it, slow down, slow down, lie down on the job. Dig it! Thank your lucky stars, hold it and treasure it. Stay til the sun sets, simplify it.
